The University at Buffalo Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences (CBLS) serves as a critical bridge between academia, industry, and government, offering startups and established life sciences companies access to high-performance computing, advanced genomics/proteomics cores, and flexible BSL-2 lab and office space. As a designated NYS Center of Excellence, it provides the infrastructure and technical expertise necessary to accelerate the commercialization of medical devices, diagnostic tools, and therapeutic interventions.
